PDCA cycle
The PDCA cycle is a four-step management methodology widely used in both business and production processes. It is also an essential component of lean manufacturing.
Steps of PDCA
Plan – Set goals, analyze the current situation, and design improvements based on identified causes.
Do – Implement the improvements and track the process.
Check – Assess results and compare them to the original goals.
Act – Take action based on outcomes:
If results meet expectations, the cycle ends and the new approach becomes standard.
If results fall short, the PDCA cycle repeats to resolve issues.
